Some activities count as regulated activity with children even if you do them only once.

These activities are:

  • Healthcare

  • Personal care

  • Social work

  • Foster care

  • Childminding

  • Childcare provision

  • Day-to-day management of anyone engaged in regulated activity with children

Example Roles (No Frequency Requirement)

Examples of roles that typically involve this kind of regulated activity include:

  • Doctor

  • Nurse

  • Dentist

  • Social worker

  • Foster carer

  • Counsellor

  • Therapist

  • Chaperone

If a role performs these activities with children, it is regulated activity even if it happens only once.
