How to find a certificate number

Learn how to find a DBS certificate number in uCheck by downloading the Summary Certificate PDF and locating the “Disclosure No” on page 2.

You may need to find the DBS certificate number (also called the Disclosure number) for your records or to share with the applicant.

You can locate this number on the Summary Certificate PDF in the uCheck platform.

1. Open the application

  1. Log in to your uCheck account.

  2. Go to your dashboard.

  3. Click into the relevant application.

2. View the results

  1. At the top of the application overview page, click “See Results”.

  2. On the results page that opens, click “Download Summary Certificate”.

This will open a PDF version of the summary certificate.

3. Find the certificate number

  1. In the PDF, go to page 2.

  2. Look for the field labelled “Disclosure No”.

The value shown next to “Disclosure No” is the DBS certificate number.

You can now:

  • Record this number for your own records, or

  • Provide it to the applicant if needed.
